Providing support for disabled people in the Liverpool area.
Act for Action has been involved with Shakespeare North Playhouse even before the first brick was laid. We were invited to be access partners in the opening season, supporting with plans to make the theatre and shows as accessible and inclusive as possible. We were proud to be part of the opening procession and to perform in the exhibition space on the opening weekend.
This partnership has gone from strength to strength. We regularly visit to see fantastic shows from Richard, My Richard, Loves Labours Lost and ADHD the musical to Cinderella and many more. We think of it as our theatre and the staff are so helpful, friendly and welcoming.
In 2024 we were so proud to take part in the fantastic project, Our Town’s Sound. We worked with the fantastic Matt Rutter and Grace Goulding for 9 months culminating in a wonderful performance at The Shakespeare North in Sept 2024.
This year we are excited to be part of a project with Dash Arts and we will be working with them in March and perform at the The Shakespeare North in May in their production: Our Public House.
On 30th May 2026 we were fortunate to be chosen to perform at Shakespeare North Playhouse in the fantastic production: Our Public House. We had a wonderful day! The actors were friendly and welcoming and helped with our nerves and the audience were brilliant!
